I miss my DREADS!!!!!!

I happened to run across my FB photo album..  When I saw one of my pictures back when I had dreads.. I almost fell out my chair... I miss my dreads... I hate that I got rid of them.. 

The only reason why I cut them back when I did was because I got tired of the labels. I got tired of people looking at me all funny.. Here in the south some just don't know.. Yet now since it is a BOOMING in natural hair.. I think more people will STOP with all the looks..  Another reason was because my sister had them.. I did it to be somewhat different....

After trying this fro.. I am not liking it all too well.. It has started getting on my nerves.. I don't know what in the heck to do with it...  I don't know excatly when I am going to start them again.. What I do know.. It is going to happen before the end of the year....

My Dreads...



Lord know I love my hair. I waited almost all my life to get locs. It took me when I turn 30 to do so. I got tired of the perms and spending all that money on getting my hair just right. I am at the most happiest state of hair right now.

My only problem is... I am getting so sick and tired of doing my own. I live in a town where people really don't like people with dreads. I get those looks and the asking questions. You know those "Do you wash your hair?" I hate when people ask that too. Of course I wash my hair. I do take care of myself.

Well the town over have people who do locs. They cost me a arm and a leg to do it. I mean I can do my own for free at home. They will charge me between 60 to 80 dollars to just to the new growth. So I am in a state that I have to do my own. :(

My 3rd year anniversary will be coming up soon. I started locing my hair in November of 2005. I had to break down and forget about what people was going to say. I tell you since then I am proud that I made this decision. It has been one of the hightlights of my life...
