My Thoughts of Today... Weight Loss

I've been on this diet since June 30th of this year. I have lost a total of 41lbs. I have been slacking off just a tad. See last week was a busy week for me. I had 3 birthday parties and 1 of them were out of town. So I was only able to work out 1 day last week. We are now on Tuesday and I still haven't been able to work out.

I normally workout once I get off work that is around 5pm or 6pm. Well today I had every intention on working out. Then I had company and I didn't want to be rude with them. Then I had to cook dinner and so forth. So I put it off again.

I am very afraid that I have gained some weight back. I know it wouldn't be that much, but the idea that I haven't worked out. I also did a little over eating the past weekend. While I was in Charlotte North Carolina with family. We all celebrate with food and good food to be exact.

So this is what has been heavy on my mind the last few days. I have came so far with so much will power. Now I am starting to see I am giving up a little hope. My goal was to be 144lbs before my birthday. My birthday on October 15th.. I am weighting in @ 195. So I know those 50lb is not going to come off in 3 weeks. So I am a little depressed...

My thought of Today... Do love Change People...

I know people my say that I changed just a tad since I have been in love. Ive noticed that I don't do certain things that I used to. I don't talk to some of the people that I used to. I still remain the same person.

I know a few people that I deal with on the daily changed, because they are in love. You know you start saying the same things that their partner says. Start hanging with the same people their partner's hang with. They become the similar version of the person they are dating.

In the beginning there was other things they person liked, different from the mate. Then once the hearts and twinkling stars came out. They don't like anything that their partner doesn't like and loves everything their partner's love.

What makes a person do such?

What makes a person lose themselves?

I can say, I might have been so in love with MC. I can say I never changed my ways because of him. I said earlier that I stop doing certain things and talking to certain people. I did that all for the better me. I never once picked up a habit he had. I never say the things he says. I never once wanted to hang out with his friends.

Don't you think some differences can save the relationship?

My thoughts of Today... If I had children...

I had an debate with MC last night. It is starting to concern me. We have been together for years now. If we take our relationship future, I want to be able to adopt or try to have children.

I am a firm believer that a mother (if possible) should stay home with the child until the child turn at least 2years old. I think that is the perfect time to send a child off to daycare. He believe 6months is enough time. He thinks that way the child will get an early start to becoming a genius. He said that the child will be able to talk, walk, and react well with others. He feels that if the child stays with the mother any longer than 6months the child is going to be spoiled and not be able to interact with other people as well. Also being in a household needs to have two incomes to keep it running.

My mother took a year off with me. I think I was a very good child and I turned out to be pretty smart. I might not apply myself but that is my choice.

I feel that a child needs their parents. I believe that me being home with my child we will have a better bonding. I also know that kids that go to daycare to early get sick a lot.
I want my child to be old enough to tell me if someone is doing something bad to them. See I don't have that much trust in anyone.

I think a child that is loved and the parents talk to them they will learn just as quick. I just don't see myself leaving my child that early on in his or hers life. I feel like if it is a money issue, I will make a way just to be home with my child.

What do you all think?

My thought of Today...Happy Birthday Mother...

Today is my mother’s 61st birthday. I tell you she is my girl. My mother has always been this different type of mom. She has always talked to me about things in life. She has never been afraid to give me the good, bad, and ugly. I think that is why I always had so much respect for her.

In my earlier teens I felt that my mother wasn’t always there when I wanted her. It was until my grandmother took deathly ill I came to realize something. My mother took care of my grandmother almost her whole adult life. So after my mother and father broke up. She just wanted to start a new life and find happiness. It just so happened during my teenage years. I am glad that she did find it. I think I was just a selfish little girl. I was so used to being spoiled. Yes my mother spoiled me and still does.

I think she raised me well. I thank her for everything she has done for me.I can say when I had broken heart, to the best days of my life, My mother has been there.

Happy Birthday Mother… I love you.

My thought of Today...Headaches

As I sit here thinking about all the problems that is wrong with the world today. I get a major headache. I am a lover of the news but it is starting to work every living nerve in my body.

It starts here in my state of South Carolina. I know there is crime every where we go. It just this particular town that is near by I am getting tired of hearing about. You sit and wonder these kids have got to find something else better to do. It has been string of robberies in the last few months. It seems that they are all done by young black men. I bow my head in shame. I want so much for our youth. I want them to understand that crime does not pay without a price. You robbing, killing, and beating others for just a few dollars. Think of what comes with that. You will never get away totally. Prisons is not the place for our kids. Our kids belong in a University or a local College. When will they learn that education is the key.

Then the race that is about race. So what if Obama might be the next president. Don't judge what this man can and can not do because of his race. He is a well educated Black Man that wants to make a difference. Please give him a chance. He has proved to me and other people that he is willing to go the extra mile for his country. Do we really want another 4 years these Republicans who can't see there is something wrong with our country. They are so much consumed of what goes on in these other countries. Leaving us with, no jobs, failing economy, children with no proper homes, and high taxes. I think if someone wants to live their life paycheck to paycheck with little or no hope. That is them, I know I don't want to be one of those people. All boils down is that they do not want a Black Man in office.. How sad...

We are living in tough times right now. We all got to watch our backs and keep faith in the Lord. Oneday we will live in peace...

My Thoughts of Today... Friends

I think I am a very good friend. I have always went out of my way for the people I care about. I am there to listen, give advice (when needed) and been there for emotional reasons. I think that is what a friend is for.

Now I don't have many people that I am close to. In this world today, we have so many people who are just out for self. It makes me hard to trust others. I have about 5 friends and two of them are male. I think it is easier for some women and men to be as such. I know some think that is crazy. Just say with my male friends I don't have to worry about them trying to steal my clothes or my man.

So this is a dedication to all my friends... I love you...

My Thoughts of Today....Governer Palin..

I know some of you are about tired of hearing the whole thing. Well maybe not all people. I know for one I am one of those people that is tired. Hearing about Governor Palin is starting to next to my living nerve.
I mean yea she seems to be an ok people, I guess. I know she is the big ticket for the Republican party.

Have you notice no one is talking about McCain? I mean is Palin the one that is running for President. All the covers of the recent magazines have Palin all over it. OK did an issue and put Palin on one side and Obama on another side. When I saw that I was like, hmmmmmmmmmmm Where's McCain.

I am a news buff and this is all I am hearing. Frankly I am not caring at this point. She made it so clear to me when I saw her first interview the other day. OOOOOOOO didn't Barbra give it to McCain on the View... I am just not feeling this. It is going to get worst until Election Day.

I watched both of the CNN programs about her and Biden last night. It was an ok show. I think I got to see more personal things about them. I didn't know some of the things that I heard. At times I was starting to believe that this woman was like an angel. Not really, but the way some of the media is painting her. I do see human in her. I just am not ready for another Republican in office.

This morning on the news they were talking about how much Tina Fey looked like Palin. She did a few skits on SNL on Palin. I didn't get to see it but the clips were hella funny.

My Thought of Today... Tupac Amaru Shakur

Tupac Amaru Shakur

June 16th, 1973- September 13th, 1996

He was one of my favorite Rappers ever to lived. He is truly missed and I know that he is in a better place. I was wondering what kind of rapper would he have been if he was still alive. I know The War, Obama, and the high gas prices could have been mentioned.

I was upset the day I found out that he had been shot and in the hospital. I think I was literally depressed and sick when he had past away. I was off work and I could not eat or sleep for a week. Yea I was one of those fans.

I know that night me and my friend girl was on our way to the club. We heard on the radio that he had pasted. She had to pull the car over and stop. We both got out the car and cried. I was throwing up cause I could not believe that my future husband was dead. I thought this man could survive most anything. He been shot before and I knew he was going to make it out of this time. We ended coming back home and watching the news, listening to all his music, and tossing up a few drinks in his honor.

Then a few years later I went to Vegas. I had to see where he was shot. I also followed the path that they said Suge took to get Tupac some help. Well I didn't understand why it was all out of the way. I visited the hospital that he stayed in. I also talked to one of the women that was on call that night. She just said it was a sad moment for a lot of people.

I hate to see a person loose their life so early. I do know that Tupac lived a life that was bound to end sooner than later. I know went he teamed up with Death Row his lyrics really did change. I do know that from reading everything he ever wrote, and listening to his mother speak. Tupac was a smart, intelligent, and kind man.

His song How long will they mourn me.. It has been 12 years and I am still mourning...

In the Event of My Demise

By Tupac Shakur

In the event of my Demise
when my heart can beat no more
I Hope I Die For A Principle
or A Belief that I had Lived 4
I will die Before My Time
Because I feel the shadow's Depth
so much I wanted 2 accomplish
before I reached my Death
I have come 2 grips with the possibility
and wiped the last tear from My eyes
I Loved All who were Positive
In the event of my Demise

My thoughts of Today.. The Welfare System

Those who know me know that I am very passionate about this. I am one of the many Americans that live paycheck to paycheck. I might have about 20 dollars left to my name afterwards. I am just fed up with the many people who abused the system. I know there are many people out there that has no choice in the matter.

I want to first start off with those who are in the country illegally. I know that some come here for a better life. Don't get me wrong, I would do the same thing. I just will work harder to get the things I want. (That is what I am trying to do now). I know many of them live in a 4 to 6 families to a house. I know cause I have a lot of them as neighbors. I work for a supermarket so I see a lot of them come in with EBT and WICS. They already getting free health care and do not have to pay taxes. This is what I am mad about. How come I am the one working my ass off, having to pay taxes every week when I get my check. I am over 25 single with no children, that is almost 150 dollars of taxes taken out my check a week. So I feel if they are going to live here, PAY DAMN TAXES... Then when it comes to healthcare, I pay about 50 dollars a week because of my insurance. Someone got to tell me what is up with that. I might go to the doctor about 3 times a year. After paying my co pay I am still spending about 50 to 100 dollars for the visit.

I also get fed up with the whole EBT system. I have wrote about this on my website many of times. I have also stated my dislike for it on my and MrChap's blogtalk show. I have applied many times to get the EBT card. I done it because I am helping my mother with her medication (too much dern money, no Medicine should cost 100 dollars). So I said having an EBT card will help out with the food bill. Well they only offered me 10 dollars the first time. The next time it was 25 woop de fu do...

I have seen people in there buy nothing but JUNK food on that card and still had about 600 dollars left on a card. They might come in and spend 300 dollars full of junk and have about 900 dollars left on a card. Heck I don't get to eat Shrimp, Crablegs, and Ribeye Steak. I am the one paying for all of that though. It is freakin ridiculous. Then they turn around and get into a nice SUV or Car. I can't even afford to buy a car at this point.

So what is wrong with this system.. A lot is wrong if you ask me. Someone can get a disabilty check if they can't manage money. They can get one if they are Bi polar, pees on themselves or over 300 to 400 lbs. I can't believe we live in a world that people just can lie, cheat, and steal from hard working people and get away with it.

My thought of Today...MC

I don't know if you all over here know much about this guy. I do know all my online friends have been here with me. It has been good times and not so good times when it came to this man. Just the other week I wrote a blog on my website about my Love Addiction.

I am seriously in love with him. I know that he loves me back. It is just at times I know I am the root to the problems. I have been one of those women who can be demanding in a relationship. I know that one day it is going to lead me to being alone for the rest of my life.

He deals with it and sometimes I don't even know why. I guess I have the good good. Well right now we aren't together, but we remain friends. Sometimes I think that is better for us. We get along more now, hehehehe..

There are so many reasons why I love this man. One of them is the fact that he actually listens to me. I can go on and on about something. He will know what I am talking about, he never tunes me out. He accepts me and my flaws. I have issues and he has dealt with them pretty good. Also he is like on of the best motivators when I feel bad.

Our problem is that we are too much alike. I am moody and so is he. Sometimes we can get on each other nerves. I mean LITERALLY. I am older than he is by 6 years. I can understand some of the stuff he says when he needs to explore life. He had a pretty sheltered life in a very small town. Me on the other hand have done almost anything you can name. I also have traveled many places and seen many things.

So at this time that we are apart we are going to see if we really want to be together for a life time. I made this playlist that makes me think of him.....

Know that I love you MC... If it is meant to be it will be...

My thought of Today...Jumping to Conclusions.

I am so tired of people jumping to conclusions. I was at a blog yesterday (last night). I made a comment that was directed to the people that were in the blog entry. They were talking about how the women republicans are going to boycott Oprah and her magazine because she refuses to have Governor Palin on her show.

Well majority of us said that Oprah has the right to do what she wants on her show. So Come on, it is her show, they are a bunch of anger white women that wants to make a big deal out of nothing. I was correct about it too. Oprah already stated that she would have Palin on her show after the election. She did not want her show to be a political forum.

O why in the Lord did I say that. I had white women thinking I was talking about them. I was like if you read my response I was not stating all white women. I was saying those women that are boycotting Oprah.

We all know that most of Oprah viewers are middle class to high class white women. Heck those are the ones she normally have on her show anyway. So why jump to the conclusion that I was referring to you..

I have to learn not to be so blunt and direct when stating something. It is too many sensitive people on the net. Why get angry over something another person writes when it was in the comment section in the first place, it wasn't directed to you. It was directed to the person who wrote the entry. It was my response to what she wrote, not the person who wrote it and those who viewed her blog.

Stop jumping to conclusions and read the dern blog... I think people just pick and choose what they want to read. Then try to piggy back on what others think..

My Thoughts of Today....Today's Hip Hop....

I am a music fan to my heart. Music tend to motivated and inspire me. If I am down and out, I put on one of my favorite songs and go with it. I know a lot of you have said that today's rap game is not as it used to be. I can so agree with you on that. Yet there are some people out there that has it going on. I can hear some of their songs and really like it. There are others that just needs to hang up there hats.

Well now a days a lot of them are not doing it for the love of it. It is mostly for the money and fame of it all. It is sad, because when I grew up with it had a meaning. It was all about getting a point across and for the love of Hip Hop. It was something that belonged to us. It was our fubu in the music industry.

Now it is everyone is trying to rap. You see rap on commercials and even in schools. The heavy metal bands are resorting to some type of rap. So when did rap really become commercialized? I think that it became that was when rappers started rapping about material things. You know the Gucci, the bling bling, and the Cars.

Once the makers of these items knew that they were going to profit from it. BOOM now rap is in the mainstream. We have a lot of rappers turning to it too. You know Diddy, LL, and 50 getting into all types of marketing deals. I guess they feel like me, rap is going to change again someday. So we need get into into else. I don't blame them one bit. It is all about money these days. Why not make a profit?

Now back to the music part of it. I miss those rap song about freedom, justices for all, and self empowerment. I was rocking Public Enemy, X Clan, even Tupac before Death Row. I think rap back then was fun, you could dance to almost any of them songs. They all had good meanings behind them.

Self Destruction stills need to be played today. I think our communities need it. Our young kids are still trying to make the quick dollar with drugs and guns. They want to be so much of the thug they see in the music industry. The parents need to be there and to tell their children it is just ENTERTAINMENT. Don't mock these guys they aren't doing half of the stuff they rap about.

Don't get me wrong I love Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, and Rick Ross. They are very gifted in their own right. I could sit and listen to Young Jeezy all day if I had to. He is just one of the best rappers out there right now. He is just not getting the attention as he should. I know Lil Wayne is a powerhouse at this point. I give them their prompts where it is due.

I want more rappers to come out with something to guide us to a better direction for our people. Reach out to the youth in a postive way, like rappers of the past used to do. Still continue to give back to the communities in which you came from.

So you see today's Hip Hop isn't all that bad, it is just going into a different directions...

Stop the Violence and kick the Science (Technology)... We gonna need it...

My thought of Today...

I was thinking about bringing my thought of the day back over here. I guess you can say I found out what I really wanted to do with this Blogger account. I will still post my main stuff over there on Mahoganydymond.Net.

In spite of all this commotion about Palin's Daughter being pregnant at 17. I am so tired of seeing teenage girls Pregnant. When I was growing up, I was so scared of my mother that I even backed off a lot of times having sex. I am not going to say I didn't have sex at an early age though. I was young and doubt like most of the girls my age were.

When I turned 13 I asked my mother could I have birth control. She didn't like it, but she knew that If I asked then I needed to be on it. So at the age of 13 my mother took me to the doctor to make sure I was going to protect myself from having a child. Also gave me the run down on STD's. It was one saying that my mother used to help make that decision in my life. "If you bring a child in the house before you graduate high school, you life will not be your own..." That stuck with me. I was a spoiled brat and thinking that I had to share my life. The selfishness kicked in then. I was like I am no way going to disappoint my mother. She already had a lot of disappointmentin her life.

I never got pregnant until I was 18 and I was in college. I lost that baby and 2 other babies after that. I later found out that I wasn't able to have children. So it hurts me to see that young girls having babies and giving up their childhood to become a parent. Giving life is a wonderful thing, but it should be done in a stable home.

I see so many of those young girls not finishing school. The men or boys that laid down with them isn't there for them. Then the child has to go without most things because the mother don't have the money to give them. A lot of the kids end up with the grandparents or the system. Some of the girls mistreat the kids cause they didn't get a chance to live their life.

We got to stop the maddness. We have to be their to teach these girls to wait. If they feel that waiting is not a option, give them birthcontrol. A child does not need to bring a child in this world.
